Abstract

In this article we describe Basque solidarity for language revitalization in the context of two language-cultures indigenous to Latin America; Mapuche and (southern) Quechua. We explain Basque solidarity broadly in section 2, whereas in section 3 we contextualize this collaboration within a framework of four processes or historic trends. We draw conclusions and key questions from each trend in order to understand Basque solidarity for language revitalization of “Latin-American languages”.
