Abstract

This article presents a study on the pragmatic behaviour of Chilean native speakers of Spanish in requests as speech acts, inside formal contexts. This study aims at comparing pragmatic behaviours between native and non native speakers, who are Spanish as Foreign Language learners. In our study we take into account the strategies for requests of Blum-Kulka et al. in order to compare both groups of informants. As ours, Blum-Kulka´s study is framed into the Pragmatics of Interlanguage, which looks for stablishing equivalences or discrepancies to analize the development of a second language.
