Stealing, working, playing in the early works of Manuel Rojas
Abstract
This article is related in part to another on Hombres del sur. It explores the worker/thief duality in two early texts by Manuel Rojas, El delincuente and Lanchas en la bahía. It also takes a look at "Imágenes de Buenos Aires, " originally published alongside Lanchas en la bahía (1932), and brings to light in that text the roots at once fictional and autobiographic of Rojas' universe.
