From my window, desert in infancy's eyes: On Dominga Sotomayor's De jueves a domingo

Abstract
In Dominga Sotomayor's film, De jueves a domingo (2013), the role of landscape has a direct relation with the experience lived of the portrayed family during this tri p. This image work asan echo, as the developing loss of innocence, experienced by the main character, Lucía. Landscape, is seen through Lucia's gaze and appears as another reading ofthe storytelling. A family makes its last trip, befare their parent's separation. The movie works not only with the landscape that starts to look a lot more like desert, as the journey is crossed. But also shows how affections and the character's intimacy is directly related with that landscape: the one the children are seeing framed, from the rear window. Through this they experience not only the appearance of the landscape of the desert but also the end of infancy as well.
