Applied Psychoanalysis and the Exemption of Literature: A Matter of Method
Main Article Content
Abstract
The general hypothesis that forces our reading of Freud's work is the possibility to understand literature as a link in the scientific structure of psychoanalysis. Preceded by a methodological attempt that referred to the ~return" (Jean-Luc Nancy), this hypothesis makes its way -already in the first pages of the text- by referring to the indexical construction of the history that operates in psychoanalysis. Nevertheless, by means of the ~Psychological Wednesday Society", a double disciplinary link is put together: one that reduces the constituent elements of what is known to the realm of the unconscious, and another that sets out to encounter susceptible traces to (occasionally) reformulate the psychoanalytic practice in a less systemic manner.
